We ask that all decks be no more than 10’ out from your trailer and no longer than the length of your trailer, in 8' sections. They also need to be at ground level and built out of 2x6 framing with 5/4 deck boards for the decking surface. (The below picture is 2 x 6 framing with a 2 x 10 skirt).
The joists run the 10' length at 16" on center.
Please only screw the sections together from one side, using 4" GRK screws. If, for example, you build 3 sections then screw sections 1 and 3 to 2, through section 2 only. We do this so that should we need to move them for whatever reason we are only needing to lift boards from one section, the middle section.
It is our preference that no railings be installed, however if you absolutely must have one than they are not to exceed 36" in height.
