This week's updates

We are just over a month away from opening day and here are a few things as we near the date....

• Accessing the park - As has been the case every year for every campground, campers are asking owners, including myself, if they can come in before opening day? While I can fully appreciate the excitement and anticipation of things that everyone wants to do once the season begins, it needs to be then, when it begins. We are opening one day earlier this year and so hopefully that will help with that weekend's preparations for each camper. Currently the park is obviously very wet and so we are not driving, nor even walking it anymore than needed. Throughout the winter we have been monitoring things and we will continue to do so over the coming weeks.

• We will be permitting tools to be used as we did last year, for the first two weekends.

• I am considering doing a park open house in the later half of April but please note that this is to showcase the park and allow for visitors to check us out. Stay tuned for further details on this.

• Internet - this is always an interesting topic and one that I am again exploring options available to us. It is my belief that what we did last year; cost sharing with neighbours, worked well. Given there are new campers joining us again this year I suggest this is something that will be better addressed opening weekend as you meet and greet each other.

• Lastly, we are excited to try something new this year and that of course is the GLO Car Show. We do not want to over talk this but at the same time we need to give it our best shot for promotion. Hence the multiple posts about it. There is now an event page exclusively for the Show which outline some of the day's events. Please check it out and share it with your circles. Thank you.
